Sunflowers with detoxifying properties

Did you know that sunflowers and sunflower oil have detoxifying properties and are used for both oral hygiene and agriculture?
Sunflowers are not only beautiful. They have seeds that taste delicious when peeled and from which sunflower oil is pressed.

Did you know that sunflower oil is also believed to have detoxifying properties and is used to solubilize toxins accumulated in the oral mucosa? This mouthwash should be done in the morning, just after waking up and on an empty stomach. Prepare approx. 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil, put it in your mouth and «chew» it for about 5 minutes. Towards the end of the application, the oil-saliva mixture becomes increasingly thin and white like milk. Now you can spit out the oil (never swallow it). It is important to clean your teeth well afterwards and rinse the oral cavity with clear water.
However, sunflowers also detoxify the soil. That is why they are grown in slightly contaminated soil. Scientists call this technique phytoremediation. This is the targeted use of energy plants to extract toxins from the soil. Pollutants are absorbed and fixed in the plant tissue and then burned with the biomass.
